Over.

I think I’ve watched this clip about 20 times at this point and for whatever reason it just keeps getting funnier and funnier to me. It’s from that new 6-episode series Portlandia that just appeared on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) over the past few months.  It’s just spot on, from Fred Armisen’s character performance to, I guess, it’s message? That’s probably not the right word for what I’m trying to say, but whatever.  While we’re talking about IFC, how is that movies made by multi-million dollar companies, and make millions upon millions of profit, are somehow called “independent”?  For instance, IFC plays Pulp Fiction every now and again.  That was produced by Miramax, a huge company. Ok, sure not as big as Warner or Paramount, but they are huge, yeah? Is it just about that “independent spirit”, regardless of how much money is actually pumped into it to bring that to the screen? Eh, whatever.  Anyway, watch this clip for a laugh.  This blog is just full on OVER.

love ALLways,

David Lynch channels Larry David.

This is a few years old now, but his “message” resonates more and more as our fun little media devices get smaller and smaller. It couldn’t be more true, and it only gets funnier the more I watch it.  Thank you, David!

TWIN PEAKS IMAGE OF THE DAY

Mr Zach Galifianakis does it again.

You can’t really every go wrong with Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover, “Between Two Ferns” on Funny or Die, “Bored to Death” on HBO, Let Us Play With Your Look on Jimmy Fallon, and on and on and ON), but if this isn’t one of the funnier videos I’ve “ever” seen, well then, I don’t know!  I like how this video actually conveys what this song is about as compared to the real video (by some idiot egomaniacal rapper) – not that’s exactly deep and meaningful or anything.  I’m probably a little late in the game in seeing this, but whatEVER, sharing is caring.

Oh, and is that really Will Oldham (aka Bonnie Prince Billy, aka Palace Music)?! It’s nice to know he has a sense of humor.

ENJOY!

love ALLways,

LARRY DAVID IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR.

One of my top favorite scenes from Curb Your Enthusiasm.  The backstory –> there is a wire that hangs over the backyard of their home.  A “friend” and lawyer who happens to come by says he can help out in getting it removed, but he sneakily says he’d like to meet Julia Louis Dreyfuss – and if Larry can set that up, he can help get rid of that wire.  This is Larry letting out his frustration with his wife.

I don’t know maybe it’s just me, but this makes me laugh out loud every time.

“EAT THE POO POO!”

These Ugandans are an intelligent lot. At least they have a future in stand up.
